Method 2: hunt audio spikes in the waveform
The folk method from every "how do I clip hours of footage" thread: kills correlate with loud moments, so read the sound instead of watching the screen.
- Import the VOD into an editor that renders waveforms — Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut desktop.
- Zoom out until the whole timeline fits on screen. The waveform becomes a skyline.
- Click the tallest spikes, play five seconds around each, keep or discard.
- Timestamp the keepers, then set in and out points at normal speed.
